In partnership with New Context, the DevOps Institute (DOI) has established a course for candidates to earn a DevSecOps Engineer certification.

As part of The DevOps Practitioner® certifications, the DevSecOps Engineering course explains how to leverage tools and processes to increase productivity, reduce security risk and lower operational costs. This industry certification is delivered by DOI’s global channel of Registered Education Partners.

Andrew Storms, VP of Product at New Context co-authored the DSOE certification course designed around the purpose, benefits, concepts, and vocabulary of DevSecOps — specifically how DevSecOps roles fit within a DevOps culture and organization.

“We’re excited to see the release of the DevSecOps Engineering certification” said Storms. “With this coursework, the DevOps Institute and New Context are showing that security doesn’t need to slow DevOps down, but can be a strategic asset that enables development teams to deliver secure code even faster.”
